Fyvie Castle & Lake 5K / Fun Run 2011 · 288 days ago

Only two days to go! The Fyvie Castle and Lake 5K / 2.5K Fun Run is all set for this Sunday 17 April! The Fun Run will start at 10am and the 5K at 10.45am from Fyvie Castle courtyard. Registration opens at 8.30am. No entries will be accepted on the day. Please be aware that the main drive up to the castle will be closed to traffic during the Fun Run (10 – 10.30am).
Please car share wherever possible.
This year we have a field of 220 runners – more than double the previous event at Fyvie – so please allow adequate time to find parking, collect your chip & bib and assemble for the start. Donna Mclean from Turriff Sports Centre will lead a warm up before each race at 9.40am and 10.25am.
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the route. This year we’ve changed the routes to encompass both the castle and the lake:
Alasdair Pirie will be selling delicious donuts and other refreshments in the car park.

Vouchers and spot prizes will be awarded to the following categories:
- Adults: 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female
- Children aged 9-12 inclusive – 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female
- Children aged up to and including 8 years – 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female
